Trillium Community Help Foundation Stands Against Offensive Portrayal in Movie "Adipurush"

Taking a Stand for Respect and Sensitivity in Cultural Portrayals

Trillium Community Help Foundation (TCHF), a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting cultural understanding and respect, is deeply concerned about the offensive portrayal and misrepresentation of Hindu deities and characters in the recently released movie "Adipurush." Directed by Om Raut and written by Manoj Muntashir, the film, based on the Hindu epic Ramayana, has sparked outrage among the Hindu community worldwide.

The foundation, comprising members from diverse religious backgrounds, including many Hindus, shares a common bond of respect for the Hindu religion. TCHF firmly believes in upholding the values of religious harmony and cultural sensitivity. Therefore, it is with great distress that we have witnessed the movie "Adipurush" undermine the beliefs and sentiments of the Hindu community.

The offensive dialogues and distorted portrayal of revered deities, particularly Lord Hanuman, have deeply hurt the religious sentiments of Hindus. The misrepresentation of Hanuman Ji as a character who exhibits fear and the derogatory dialogues attributed to him are entirely contradictory to the sacred and noble nature associated with the deity. Such portrayals undermine the spiritual significance and reverence accorded to Lord Hanuman and the epic Ramayana.

Trillium Community Help Foundation believes in the importance of safeguarding the sanctity of religious scriptures and mythological tales. We stand in solidarity with the Hindu community in condemning the offensive content presented in "Adipurush." Our foundation has taken a proactive approach to address this issue by writing a letter to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, urging them to take immediate and stringent action against the movie's makers. We have emphasized the need for a complete ban on the movie to prevent further damage to Hindu sentiments.

TCHF also calls for an investigation into the clearance process followed by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) that allowed the release of a film containing such offensive content. It is vital to ensure that such oversights do not recur, and appropriate action is taken against those responsible for reviewing and approving the content.

As an organization dedicated to promoting cultural understanding, Trillium Community Help Foundation values the rich heritage and religious sentiments associated with Hindu culture. We believe in fostering respect and harmony among different religious communities. We trust that our collective efforts, along with the support of like-minded individuals and organizations, will contribute to rectifying the situation and preventing the misrepresentation of sacred stories and beliefs.
